Shiseido’s AQUALABEL will release year-end limited editions as a skincare brand that supports women in their everyday lives. Following the 2024 limited editions, textile designer Yuri Himuro was again invited to design the containers around the theme “Deep Relaxing Flower.”
Lotus and tulip flowers decorate the containers
The motif for Golden Repair is the lotus, while Moist Smooth features tulips. Flowers in different colors and shapes decorate the limited-edition containers for each gel cream.
Both contain 108 g, 20% more than the regular 90 g products. After using them up, you can continue using the same containers with refills of the regular products.
Two types for dryness and firmness, or visible pores
Special Gel Cream EX (Golden Repair) L is a multifunctional gel cream for aging care* that addresses dryness and lack of firmness. It uses capsules containing retinol oil (retinyl acetate, for moisturizing and smoothing skin) and makes fine lines caused by dryness less noticeable (efficacy evaluation tested).
*Moisturizing care appropriate to one’s age
Special Gel Cream EX (Moist Smooth) L moisturizes while caring for the appearance of pores. The formula is described as containing the brand’s highest amount of glycylglycine, an ingredient for refining pores and skin texture.
Both combine five functions—toner, emulsion, serum, cream, and mask—in one product and have a herbal rose fragrance. They have been allergy tested, but this does not mean allergies will not occur in everyone.
Use after washing morning and evening, or as a mask
For basic use, smooth an almond-sized amount (about 1.5 g) over the entire face after washing morning and evening. For use as a mask, the instructions say to spread an additional small amount over the entire face, leave for about three minutes, and gently blend in.
