Tescom Denki announced the Negative Ion Hair Dryer TD943A on October 28. The dryer automatically adjusts warm-air temperature to the surface temperature of the hair. It has been on sale since mid-October 2026 at an open price.
A temperature sensor and dual heaters automatically adjust warm air
MOIST mode features Smart Heat Sensing™, combining a temperature sensor with dual heaters. It measures the surface temperature of the hair and automatically adjusts warm-air temperature. The company describes the function as intended to prevent overdrying.

The five modes are used as follows.
- MOIST: Automatically adjusts warm-air temperature to the surface temperature of the hair
- STRAIGHT: Automatically switches between warm and cool air
- SCALP: Dries the scalp and hairline with low-temperature air; use about 3–5 cm away
- BLOW: Steady warm air for drying after washing
- SPEED: Dries with high airflow
Styling hood included; stand sold separately
The included Set Blow Hood™ is used to hold hair between the hood and a brush while blow-drying. The dryer also has a cool-shot switch for changing to cool air. A separately sold stand allows hands-free drying with the dryer resting on it.
The main unit weighs about 710 g, or about 740 g with the Set Blow Hood attached. It does not fold. Its power specification is AC100V, 50/60Hz, and it cannot be used overseas.
The removable mesh filter can be washed with water. It uses a lever-equipped easy-release plug for unplugging and a Quick Cord Band for bundling the cord. Made in Japan, it comes with a two-year warranty.
