Tomita Co., Ltd. released the new fabric collection FRAGMENTS by the French brand "MÉTAPHORES" on Thursday, October 15, 2026. The collection offers 33 items in 7 designs, priced from ¥39,050 to ¥103,840 per meter (tax included).
The collection weaves natural fibers such as wool, cotton and linen together with technical fibers. You can see the fabrics in person at tomita TOKYO (Tokyo showroom) and the Osaka showroom.
FRAGMENTS expresses the volume of yarn and the texture of the weave
According to the company, FRAGMENTS is a collection that focuses on the character of the materials themselves. It combines the volume of the yarns, the unevenness of the weave, soft bouclé and subtle shifts in color.
The colors are calm, earthy tones. The fabrics are also characterized by how they catch light, let it pass through and diffuse it softly. The photos show interiors where the fabrics are combined with curtains, chairs, cushions and more.
