"SOPHISTANCE," a fermentation skincare brand run by SDI Co., Ltd., will launch its first hair care products, "SOPHISTANCE Gentle Repair Shampoo" and "SOPHISTANCE Gentle Repair Conditioner," on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.
These new products apply the brand's original "ultra-concentrated fermentation" technology and are characterized by an approach to the hair concern of "hollowed hair."

SOPHISTANCE has so far offered skincare products that bring out the skin's natural beauty using its original "Bikatsukin®︎ fermented liquid*¹."
The company says the fermentation technology cultivated through this research was applied to hair care, leading to the development of this shampoo and conditioner.
The company explains that "hollowed hair," which occurs when lipids and proteins inside the hair are lost due to UV rays, dryness, coloring, aging and other factors, is the cause of hair concerns such as lack of volume, waviness, dryness and frizz.
It says SOPHISTANCE's hair care products were found to work on this "hollowed hair" by combining the same fermented ingredient used in its skincare with yuzu extract.
