"MT Salon," a skincare salon operated by onde Co., Ltd., will launch a new service, the "MT Oshi-katsu Beauty Program," in August 2026.
The program responds to the beauty needs of people who want to get their skin into good condition ahead of events where they meet their "oshi" (the idol or favorite they support) in person, such as concerts and fan meetings.
It offers short-term intensive care plans counted back from the event date, with a choice of three periods: 45, 90 or 120 days.
A New Proposal for the Growing Need for Oshi-katsu Beauty
In recent years, with the spread of social media, "oshi-katsu" culture has taken hold across a wide range of generations. In a 2025 survey by Cross Marketing, about one in three people answered that they have an "oshi."
As opportunities to meet one's oshi in person increase, so do awareness of how skin looks up close and in photos and videos, and the beauty need to get skin into shape in a short time.
MT Salon has so far emphasized continuous skincare, but to respond to such voices it has developed a short-term intensive program that designs a beauty plan counted back from the day of the event.
Three Plans Counted Back from the Event Day
The "MT Oshi-katsu Beauty Program" offers the following three plans, depending on the time remaining until the event.
45 days until you meet your oshi: "Intensive Finish Plan"
- Aims to improve conditions such as pores and dryness and achieve skin that holds makeup well. Prices start from the 40,000-yen range.
90 days until you meet your oshi: "Full Care Plan"
- A full care plan that aims for moisturized skin with translucency and glow. Prices start from the 60,000-yen range.
120 days until you meet your oshi: "Confidence Building Plan"
- With a relaxed schedule, it aims for stable skin condition that is less affected by seasonal changes. Prices start from the 80,000-yen range.
Each plan includes weekly treatments (ultrasonic ion cleansing) and five skincare cosmetics for home use as part of the set.
Main Features of the Program
The program has several features aimed at achieving your ideal skin for the day of the event.
Personal design with "the day you meet" as the goal
- The event date is confirmed in a consultation, and a skincare schedule is built so that your skin is in its best condition on that day.
Oshi-katsu-only perk: "Oshi-katsu Countdown Record Card"
- An original record card is provided where you can note the countdown to the event, your daily care, and your visit dates. Staff advice can also be written in, so it can be used as your own personal beauty schedule book.
Skincare support with "close range" in mind
- Using MT Salon's original method that combines ultrasound, ions and original skincare, the program guides skin toward a smooth finish with less noticeable pores by the day of the event.
"Alongside you" support on social media
- On Instagram and Threads, tips useful for home care are shared, such as "the 7-day routine before your oshi-katsu" and "rescue care on the morning of the event." At your visit, specific skincare methods tailored to each person's skin condition are suggested based on the posts.
The program will be test-marketed at five MT Salon locations (Fushimi Main Store, Asahigaoka, Ogaki Hayashimachi, Mitaka and Yagoto Hibarigaoka), and is planned to roll out gradually to stores nationwide.
