ABEMA, the "TV of the new future," aired the final episode of its original documentary series "CELEB SECRET," which closes in on the lives of super-celebrities around the world, at 9 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026.
"CELEB SECRET" is an ABEMA original documentary series that explores the true faces, struggles and "light and shadow" hidden behind glamorous everyday lives. It follows four people: model Sachi Fujii, whose father is the former president of Louis Vuitton Japan; globally known influencer MONAKO; Lara, a current medical student; and Ureshino-chan (Yumi Ureshino), who runs a medical beauty tourism business.
Gracie Abrams' "Risk" has been chosen as the theme song. The studio MCs are talent Rino Sashihara, actor Shinnosuke Mitsushima, Junki Kono of the global boy group JO1, and Kemuri Matsui of the comedy duo Reiwa Roman.
Sachi Fujii decides to start a dog grooming salon
In the final episode, celebrity model Sachi Fujii, now in her 14th year as a model, revealed how she feels: "I've entered a phase where family comes first." As her life stage changed with marriage, she says she consulted Ureshino-chan, who supports women entrepreneurs, out of a wish to "add one more pillar to my life."
Based on the hints she received there, Fujii decided to open a dog grooming salon. Drawing on her own struggle to find a grooming salon for her pet dog, she says she wants to create a place where dogs can feel at ease.

Fujii said with determination, "I want to be a cool mom, do things that excite me, and show my children a sparkling me," and set a goal: "I hope to open within this year." She said that in the past she felt anxious about achieving social success, but as she grew older she came to think that "doing what you truly want to do makes for a richer, happier life."

Lara in tears over balancing medical school and her art career
Lara, who studies at a medical school in Germany while also publishing a picture book, is torn about how to balance her future artistic activities with university life. With both university staff and people in the art world telling her she must commit to one or the other, Lara asked her mother, Mariko, "What do you think about taking a leave from university?"

Her mother, Mariko, passed on the policy her father had set: "Study hard at school, and that is your main job; beyond that you can do whatever you like. But school is your main job." When Lara, who wants to focus on creating work for an art exhibition, pushed back, saying "Medical school is something you and Daddy decided, isn't it?", Mariko replied, "But I don't think it's okay."

Mariko spoke of how much she cares about Lara and voiced her worry that Lara would end up doing both her studies and her art halfway. In the end she offered encouragement: "Going to university and studying hard is something that can't be changed. But I think that Lara can find a way. Both what you want to do and how to make it happen. I will support you in that."
Wiping away her tears, Lara said, "Mommy and Daddy really believe in me, don't they. I'm glad they're not the kind of parents who say you can't do it," and vowed to establish a new lifestyle while keeping up with her studies and to work hard at her art as well.
The studio MCs on their goals "five years from now"
In the studio, after hearing about the four celebrities' futures, the conversation turned to "where do you want to be in five years?" Junki Kono of JO1 said firmly of his goal at 33, five years from now: "I want to still be JO1."

Kemuri Matsui of Reiwa Roman commented on his goal at 38, five years from now: "I'm still young, I guess, but I'd like to work as leisurely as Samaazu (laughs)." Rino Sashihara said she wants to "create an environment where the people I work with and the idols I produce can be mentally fulfilled."

Reiwa Roman's Kemuri Matsui shares a shocking story about his father
At the end of the show came the usual "celebrity talk." Kemuri Matsui of Reiwa Roman, whose father is a former vice chairman of a securities company, began, "My father recently found out about something called Saizeriya."
He told the story of how his father, after learning that a restaurant called Saizeriya exists and is famous for being cheap and tasty, visited a branch by himself. But the restaurant was packed with high school students and others, and he gave up on going in.

According to Matsui, his father did not simply go home. He confessed that "he went to his usual Italian restaurant and came home after spending 40,000 yen." Sashihara and Mitsushima burst out laughing at this unexpected choice. Sashihara cried, "That makes no sense!" and Mitsushima chimed in, "He really wanted to go to Saizeriya!", and the studio erupted.
