Aso Beauty College in Hakata-ku, Fukuoka, held "ART BEAUTY COLLECTION 2026," a hair show by second-year students of the beauty department, at the Denki Building Mirai Hall on July 19, 2026. Under the theme "IDENTITY," the students presented the beauty skills and sensibility they have built over two years.
Many visitors attended on the day, including salon owners and top stylists from the industry, high school students and parents.

Student-led "ART BEAUTY COLLECTION 2026"
"ART BEAUTY COLLECTION" is the school's largest stage event, where second-year students of the beauty department show the technical skills and sensibility they have built over two years of study. Through varied forms of expression such as hair and makeup, fashion and staging, it is a place where each student expresses their own individuality.
For this event, the students took the lead in planning and producing everything from hair and makeup, costumes and staging to sound and video. It offers a practical learning opportunity that goes beyond making works to creating the entire stage.
All stages were performed with professional models, and the students took on the challenge of creating their works in a tension like that of a real beauty show.
The theme "IDENTITY" is described as what shapes "who you are" and "what kind of being you are." Drawing on a wide range of expressive means such as hairstyles, makeup, fashion, color, music, silhouette and worldview, the students saw diverse "IDENTITIES" as individuality and expressed themselves on stage.
Each team set out its own concept and showed a variety of identities, with edgy styles, delicate expression and works that incorporate an international sensibility, and the venue responded with loud applause.

A "Legend Stage" by top stylists of well-known salons, who are graduates of the school, was also held. Graduates of Aso Beauty College who are active on the front lines of the beauty industry gathered once again on the stage of their memories.
The graduates put their advanced skills and expressive power into their works and captivated the audience. It was reportedly a valuable opportunity for current students to see up close what they could be after graduation, and a chance to picture concretely the kind of hairdresser they want to become.

High school winding contest held at the same time
At "ART BEAUTY COLLECTION 2026," the "Advance Course High School Division Winding Contest" was also held at the same time, for high school students who have taken part in the school's open campus several times. Seven high school students competed and showed the results of the practice they had built up toward the event.
The competition time was 40 minutes, and judging followed the standards of the national hairdresser examination. Not only technical skill but also bearing during the work and attitude toward the task were judged, and the high school students approached the competition with serious expressions. The judging was done by hairdressers and stylists active on the front lines of the beauty industry, and the venue offered warm cheers.
Aira Amano (Fukuoka / Hakata Girls' High School) was chosen for the Grand Prize. She received a school fee exemption from Aso Beauty College, and a runner-up prize was also presented by a partner salon.
The school's "Advance Course High School Class" is a special program for high school students offered during open campus events. It lets students get a head start on classes preparing for the national hairdresser examination while still in high school. By continuing to study basic techniques centered on winding, it provides an environment where students deepen their understanding of the beauty field and can start their studies smoothly after enrollment.

Education at Aso Beauty College and its outlook
Aso Beauty College is a school where students can aim to become hairdressers, hair and makeup artists, nail artists, beauty advisors, eyelash artists and bridal stylists. With original programs in partnership with world-class salons such as TONI&GUY and shu uemura, it provides an environment where students can acquire techniques on par with professionals from their student days.
Beyond on-campus events, students have opportunities to take part in shows and events outside the school, and can gain practical experience, such as working on professional models. In addition to generous job placement support, major companies and popular salons visit the school regularly, and many graduates are active at salons in Japan and abroad.
The Aso Educational Foundation / Aso College Group was founded in 1939 and is one of the largest vocational school groups in western Japan.
