Tokiwa Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., part of the Noevir Group, will release a limited-edition mini size of "Extra Rich Serum-in Powder," a skincare powder from its makeup brand excel, on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. It is the first limited mini size since the renewal, and its capacity is 8 g, half of the 16 g standard product.
The release date is the manufacturer's shipping date, and the date it becomes available to buy varies by store. Ahead of that, it has been on advance sale at Loft and Plaza since Friday, August 28, and at the excel official online store and Amazon since Tuesday, September 1.
A perforated container that is less likely to spill powder, made for carrying
The standard product comes in a mesh-type container that lets the puff pick up powder evenly, but the limited mini size uses a perforated container that is less likely to spill powder, with portability in mind. It fits easily in a pouch, and is designed to be carried for touch-ups on the go or on trips.
A fluffy, long-pile puff is included. The standard product costs ¥2,640 (tax included) for 16 g, and the limited mini size costs ¥1,540 (tax included) for 8 g.
Same Melty Rea formula inside, in two shades
The contents are the same as the standard product, using the "Melty Rea formula," in which the powder melts and blends into the skin, and containing serum ingredients. There are two shades: EX01 Silky Beige and EX02 Glow Beige. EX01 gives a soft semi-matte finish and contains pink pearl. EX02 gives a bright, radiant glowing finish and contains fine pearls in seven colors: pink, purple, blue, green, orange, gold and silver.
According to the company, the predecessor "Extra Rich Powder" was released every winter as a limited edition starting in 2015, and was evolved, renewed and made a standard product. During the roughly ten years it was offered as a limited item, the company received requests for a mini size that is easy to carry, which led to this release.
