CANMAKE, the makeup brand of Ida Laboratories Co., Ltd., began airing the web commercial "I Want to Fall in Love as the Cute Me" (5 episodes in total) on Friday, October 2, 2026. It is being released in sequence on its official social media accounts.
It is a story of the heroine Hikari closing the distance with Hayato, the boy she likes. The company says it depicts "relatable moments" that anyone who loves dating reality shows will recognize, as well as heart-fluttering scenes, and explains that cosmetics gently support the feeling of being in love.
Five episodes released every Friday, and the cast
Episode 1, "First Meeting," was released on Friday, October 2. Episode 2, "Sudden Two-Shot at Breakfast," is scheduled for Friday, October 9, Episode 3, "Night Pool," for Friday, October 16, Episode 4, "BBQ with a Member Who Joins Midway," for Friday, October 23, and the final Episode 5, "Final Confession," for Friday, October 30.
The seven cast members are Kokona Tsujimura as Hikari, Taiki Matsuse as Hayato, Yusuke Narasaki as Kento, Shingo Arai as Yuma, Sakina Seino as Miki, Cecil Nana as Arisa and Misaki Hata as Marika. A video that looks like a clipped post of a dating reality show seen on social media has also been released. It is made to look as if viewers had cut out and posted memorable scenes.
Five CANMAKE products that appear in the commercial
The commercial features "CANMAKE Glow Fleur Cheeks 20" (a new shade) to be released this fall, as well as "Moon Glow Highlighter" and "Curl Sniper Mascara." The details of each product, as listed in the press release, are as follows.
"Glow Fleur Cheeks 20" is a multi-color cheek. 20 Vanilla Rose Fleur is a low-saturation pink with a relaxed feel. The company says its features are a moist, close-fitting, glossy finish, and that the shade is easy to use whether you have a yellow base or blue base skin tone. Blend it in circles with the fluffy brush and apply it to the cheeks.
"Creamy Touch Liner Sheer 01" is a sheer type of the Creamy Touch Liner. 01 Charmy Pink is a neutral pink. The company says the smooth application and long wear are the same as the conventional product, and that the soft color that melts into the skin lasts for a long time.
"Moon Glow Highlighter 01," 01 Moon Glow White, is a white beige. It uses the "baked method," in which the powder is gathered without pressing and baked hard in a high-temperature oven. The company explains that by finishing without crushing the pearls, it is designed to give an elegant, moonlight-like glow and a natural dimensional look.
"Curl Sniper Mascara 03" is a mascara with an extra-fine brush, and 03 Sweet Black is, the company explains, a black that softens the impression while still adding eye power. "Twinkle Jewelry Plumper 01" is a lip gloss containing delicate pearls. 01 Twinkle Pink is a sweet, classic pink with a sheer color payoff.
