On October 7, Shin Nihon Seiyaku Co., Ltd. announced that it will renew "Perfect One SP Night Cream," the night cream of its skincare brand "Perfect One," and release it on Thursday, October 15, 2026. The size is 33g and the price is ¥14,300 (tax included).
According to the company, SP Night Cream is now in its 12th year, and series cumulative sales stand at 799,000 units (December 2014 to the end of June 2026). This time, focusing on "skin-beauty bacteria" and the skin environment during sleep, it newly added fermentation-derived ingredients.
Newly added "skin-beauty bacteria ferment extract," made from two selected fermentation-derived ingredients
The newly added "skin-beauty bacteria ferment extract" consists of two ingredients: Lactobacillus/aloe barbadensis leaf juice ferment and Lactobacillus ferment (both humectants). The company positions it as an ingredient that supports the work of skin-beauty bacteria, and calls skincare with fermentation-derived ingredients "fermentation beauty."
As background to the development, the company explains that conditioning the skin environment during sleep is important. While skin recovers during sleep by repairing daytime damage, the view is that Japanese people tend to sleep for short hours, that winter is the driest time of the year, and that "accumulated dryness" from water evaporating during sleep is likely to occur. It says skin-beauty bacteria have drawn attention in recent advanced research.
Three new ingredients for winter dryness, and 57 moisturizing ingredients
There are three new ingredients intended for winter dryness: moringa extract (Moringa oleifera seed extract), shield polymer (Polyquaternium-51, a humectant) and duckweed extract. The company named this combination the "Midnight Re-conditioning Triple Approach."
There are 57 moisturizing ingredients in total. In addition to 11 types of collagen, including the original penetrating VC collagen and purple gromwell fermented collagen, it carries over Night Aqua Complex and Night Maintenance Extract, and contains CICA (Centella asiatica extract), exosomes (Selenicereus costaricensis leaf/stem extract) and more. The company says it contains 92.9% serum ingredients by its own standard.

The container is an airless jar from which the pump can be removed so you can use it up to the end. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of Perfect One, it has a limited design themed on winter constellations.
