Rosy Rosa Co., Ltd. released the "Powder Brush EX ＜Kabuki Type＞" from its makeup tool brand "Rosy Rosa" on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at @cosme STORE, PLAZA (excluding some stores) and Makeup Solution Online.
The Powder Brush EX is a series that began with the "Powder Brush EX" in 2024. This is the third release, following the "Powder Brush EX ＜Angled＞" in 2025, and it is priced at ¥2,640 (tax included).
A full bristle volume and a rounded tip for "polishing application" in circular motions
The ＜Kabuki Type＞ features a dense, generous bristle volume that applies powder in one sweep and a rounded brush tip. The company recommends "polishing application," in which you move the brush in circles over the skin as if polishing it to blend the powder evenly.
It can be used with loose face powder as well as pressed powder foundation. For small areas such as around the nose, it says to use the top of the brush.
Ultra-fine processing with a waist on each bristle, and a bamboo handle that stands on its own
Across the series, it uses ultra-fine synthetic bristles made of PBT (polybutylene terephthalate). Each bristle, which tapers toward the tip, is given a "waist" through an "ultra-fine processing technology," and the waisted part is designed to catch the powder.
The handle is round, with its length and thickness adjusted to make circular movements smooth. It is made of natural bamboo finished with a thin coat of paint, and the company says the fast growth of bamboo also reflects consideration for the environment. A free-standing function is added for the first time in the series, so the brush can be stored without putting strain on the tip and while keeping its rounded shape.
