MAYBELLINE NEW YORK, a brand of L'Oréal Japan K.K., will release limited-edition packaging inspired by the world of the Cartoon Network animated series "The Powerpuff Girls" in limited quantities on Saturday, October 24, 2026, under a partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products. The company announced it on October 8. Some stores may not carry the items.
The lineup covers four products: mascara, lip color, eyeliner and foundation, priced from ¥1,419 to ¥3,993 (tax included, manufacturer's suggested retail price).
Limited-edition packaging inspired by Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup
According to the company, "The Powerpuff Girls" is a trio of superheroines known for their courageous personalities and boundless energy. The company explains that the collaboration came about because the "strength," "being yourself" and "infinite possibilities" they embody resonate with Maybelline's brand philosophy.
The packaging has a pop design inspired by Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup. The company says it grew out of the wish to share the fun of makeup and the confidence to move forward as yourself.
"Sky High" mascara comes in three types, one of them in Japan-exclusive packaging
"MAYBELLINE Sky High" is a mascara that lifts (*1) lashes from the root with its "Sky High Lift Brush," which combines the features of a brush and a comb. Five rows of combs arranged in an arch catch each lash one by one. It contains a "long-wear ingredient" (*2), and the company says it keeps a natural lift (*3) all day. It is waterproof and designed to resist sweat and water. It also contains arginine, serine and glutamic acid.
All shades are black. "PPG B01 Black" is the Japan-exclusive packaging, and "PPG P01 Black" and "PPG G01 Black" make up the three types in total. The price is ¥1,694 (tax included, manufacturer's suggested retail price).

Lip color, liner and foundation also come in limited-edition packaging
"MAYBELLINE SP Stay Vinyl Ink" is a lip color with a triple-lock formula that keeps freshly applied color and shine for 16 hours (*4). Shake the container, then apply to the lips with the applicator. It comes in two shades, "PPG 66 Capricious Cherry Pink" and "PPG 68 Tempting Peach Pink," and costs ¥1,991 (tax included, manufacturer's suggested retail price).
"Hyper Sharp Liner R" is an ultra-fine liquid liner with a 0.01 mm (*5) line. It uses a brush that absorbs hand shake, and is waterproof, designed to resist sweat, smudging and rubbing. The shade is "PPG BK-1 Jet Black," and the price is ¥1,419 (tax included, manufacturer's suggested retail price).
"MAYBELLINE SP Stay Cream Pact Foundation" is a foundation whose balm (*6), like fresh chocolate, melts into the skin and clings. The company says it covers (*7) concerns such as pores, redness and dullness, and resists breaking down for 30 hours (*8). It comes in two shades, "PPG N10" and "PPG N20," and costs ¥3,993 (tax included, manufacturer's suggested retail price).
