"SPICARE," planned and sold by BJC Co., Ltd., has released the makeup base "V3 Prep Primer." According to the company, cumulative sales of the "V3 Foundation" have exceeded 7.03 million units (as of the end of July 2026). "SPICARE," which offers the "V3 Foundation," has now added a base to use on skin before makeup.
The company positions it as a base that brings out the beauty of the skin by "conditioning" its condition rather than "hiding" pores and uneven color. It says the product prevents makeup from floating or smudging and increases how well the foundation adheres.
A fresh, watery texture, designed without UV protection
The texture is a fresh "watery texture" like a serum. The company explains that it blends into the stratum corneum without stickiness, conditions the skin's texture and improves the finish of makeup.
It deliberately has no UV protection. It features a light feel, free of the stiffness, whitish cast and heaviness typical of UV-blocking ingredients, and does not get in the way of the other items you use afterward. While the formula is designed to bring out the performance of the "V3 Foundation," the company says it also works well with other foundations.

Containing skin-conditioning and astringent ingredients, focused on the look of pores
It contains the proprietary "HARI" Glow Spicule (silica, a skin-conditioning ingredient). It contains both skin-conditioning and astringent ingredients, and the company says that, thanks to the Glow Spicule delivery system, it blends slowly into every corner of the stratum corneum and keeps skin healthy for a long time.
The company calls this design "pore impression care." It is positioned as a base that makes the skin look smooth and firm (by makeup effect).
As skin-conditioning ingredients that balance sebum, it contains Sebum P-Complex (Ulmus davidiana root extract, kudzu root extract, Pinus densiflora leaf extract and evening primrose flower extract; all skin-conditioning ingredients). The company also explains that it contains other ingredients that condition the skin in amounts comparable to a serum.
Use it after skincare and before sunscreen
To use it, after skincare and before applying sunscreen or any other makeup base, spread an appropriate amount over the entire face and blend it in. Then apply foundation.

According to the diagram in the release, those with combination to oily skin apply it over the entire face and then layer it on areas where sebum is a concern. Those with normal to dry skin apply it over the entire face.

The company says the base is designed to include even the time it takes to blend evenly into the skin, and advises leaving some time before and after use.
