On October 9, VANS JAPAN announced the release of the "United Through Skateboarding Collection 2.0" with photographer Atiba Jefferson. It is the second collection, following the one that debuted in 2025.
With the theme of connections between people through skateboarding, the collection incorporates Atiba's own photographs and original artwork into footwear, apparel and accessories.
Skate photography and the colors Atiba chose
The high-top "Skate Sk8-Hi" has a skate photo by Geoff Rowley printed across the entire side panels. The side stripe is rendered in embroidery. It is equipped with DURACAP, SICKSTICK and POPCUSH, and the company describes it as a model that takes durability, grip and comfort into consideration.
The "AVE Rapid LX" comes in "Atiba Gold," inspired by the Los Angeles Lakers. It is a model that expresses, through color, Atiba's feelings for the team he continues to photograph.
The "Premium Authentic 44" uses "Atiba Pink," which he chose himself. The insole features a design of the moment Arisa Trew landed a 540 at the skate event "Vans Pool Party."
The "Rowan Z3" is a model that expresses his friendship with skater Rowan Zorilla. It uses a blue inspired by the Los Angeles Dodgers, a team both of them love, and the box and tag feature action photos of Rowan.
Cargo pants with a pocket for a camera
In apparel, the cargo hoodie comes in two colors, pink and black, and the cargo pants in two colors, bay leaf and black. The pants have a pocket that can hold a compact camera.
The collection also features a custom logo by artist Lauren Halsey, a friend of Atiba. It is used in the designs of the items along with archive photos and previously unreleased shots.
