On October 9, ACE Co., Ltd. announced the "Classic Lightweight 5.0" from "ZERO HALLIBURTON." It is a series in which the conventional lightweight luggage has been fitted with newly developed casters and the colors and size lineup have been revised.
From the same day, it is being rolled out in stages at directly operated stores, the official online store, and department stores and specialty stores nationwide. The lineup has four types: Business Trolley, Carry-On, Trunk L and Trunk XL.
Casters with suspension and a stopper
The casters are a quiet design with built-in bearings that assist rotation. This time, a suspension mechanism and a stopper function have been added. The company explains that the design absorbs vibration and noise transmitted from the road surface to improve rolling performance.
The stopper can be operated at hand and locks the casters to prevent unintended rolling. The handle is an auto-return handle with a built-in oil damper, which slowly returns to its original position when you let go.
A body with a metallic look and adjustable dividers
The material is polycarbonate. A specially processed metallized film is used to give it an aluminum-like texture. The exterior carries on the "double rib" design of two press lines devised in 1946 to increase rigidity.
Trunk L and Trunk XL include a Flex Divider whose height can be adjusted to the amount of luggage. Tightening the tape keeps items from shifting. The item numbers compatible with this divider are 81864 and 81865.
Colors are Phthalo Blue, Hairline Silver and Brown. The Business Trolley comes only in Hairline Silver.
