On October 9, Alpen Co., Ltd. launched the TIGORA x "Evangelion" running collection. The colors of Unit-01, Unit-00 and Unit-02 are worked into running apparel and shoes.
Shoes that express the series through color and materials, not illustrations
The "FT5/36 Evangelion" shoes come in three colors: purple, yellow and red. Built around the color schemes of the Evangelion units, they combine the different textures of mesh and side marks. There are no character illustrations; the design conveys the world of the series through color and material.
The insoles carry a message in a typeface reminiscent of the series. The box features graphics of the units and scenes from the show. The price is ¥16,500 (tax included), and sizes run from 23.0 to 28.0 cm in 0.5 cm steps, plus 29.0 cm.
Apparel in XS to 2XL, and shorts that hold small items
The apparel is unisex. The lineup includes a wind jacket at ¥7,260 (tax included), a moisture-wicking quick-dry long-sleeve T-shirt at ¥4,950 (tax included), a short-sleeve T-shirt at ¥4,400 (tax included) and a sleeveless top at ¥3,850 (tax included), each in sizes XS, S, M, L, XL and 2XL.
The apparel uses a retroreflective print of the NERV logo. The jacket combines purple and green, with the words "EVANGELION TEST TYPE-01" on the back. The long-sleeve and sleeveless tops also use an aurora retroreflective print that reflects when light hits it.
The "Multi-Pocket Shorts" are ¥4,400 (tax included). They have pockets for a smartphone, keys, coins and the like, and come in the same XS to 2XL sizes as the apparel. The cap is one size at ¥3,850 (tax included), and the socks come in three sizes, 23-25 cm, 25-27 cm and 27-29 cm, at ¥2,200 (tax included).
