On October 9, the Lifestyle Business Division of Bandai Co., Ltd. began taking reservations for the "Kirby PIICA + Clear Pass Case (2 designs)." It is an accessory used together with an IC card you already own, and it is sold through channels including "Bancolle!" on Premium Bandai.
Hold it over a card reader and it lights up with the radio waves it receives
PIICA is a card that lights up when it receives the radio waves emitted by a contactless IC card reader. It has three built-in LEDs and works without a battery. You layer it over an IC card and use it inside the included clear pass case.
Examples of use include transit IC cards used at automatic ticket gates, electronic money IC cards used for payments at convenience stores and vending machines, and ID cards. However, the way it lights up may vary depending on the reader. It is not designed to light up the same way on every device.
The set comes with a clear case with a ball chain
The product is a set of the PIICA card and a clear pass case, priced at ¥1,980 (tax included). Shipping and handling fees are charged separately. The transparent case comes with a ball chain and can hold your own IC card layered with PIICA.
The PIICA card measures approximately 53.5 mm wide x 85 mm high x 1.2 mm thick. The case measures approximately 101.5 mm wide x 59.7 mm high x 4 mm thick. The card body is made of polycarbonate, and the film on the printed surface is PET. The target age is 15 and over.
Payment and entry/exit functions rely on the IC card you already have. The set contains PIICA and the case; it does not include a transit IC card or similar.
