On October 10, Makelead Co., Ltd. announced that it launched ALIVE GHOST, a new brand from Japan, on September 17. Its first products are the "BULL & VEGE COLLECTION," made up of three eyewear styles. They are processed and assembled in Sabae, Fukui Prefecture, and sold on the official online store.
Wellington frames, all black but with different finishes
"Room 01" is a Wellington-shaped frame made of thick acetate. It comes in two black finishes, glossy and matte, and even the matte version keeps a gloss on the rims and the inside of the temples. It is paired with smoke CR-39 lenses and priced at ¥17,600 (tax included).
It weighs 38.0 g and has a visible light transmittance of 55%. The frame is made by cutting out the sheet material, laminating, bending and hand polishing, and the temple hinges use a 7-barrel hinge.
An octagonal metal frame and a small crown panto
"Room 02" is an octagonal frame that combines white gold and beige. The frame is a nickel alloy and the temples are beta titanium. It uses brown CR-39 lenses, with a visible light transmittance of 70% and a weight of 21.0 g. It has nose pads whose angle and width can be adjusted on each side, and is offered at ¥19,800 (tax included).
"Room 03" is a small crown panto made of black acetate. The thick rims have three-dimensional cuts, and a 5-barrel hinge is fixed with a pin shaped like a konpeito sugar candy. It is priced at ¥17,600 (tax included) and weighs 34.5 g. It has smoke CR-39 lenses with a visible light transmittance of 55%.
