On October 9, the Parks and Recreation Foundation announced that it will hold "Forest Halloween Night" at Musashi Kyuryo National Government Park. On weekends and holidays from October 11 to 31, the Central Gate area of the park in Namegawa, Saitama Prefecture, becomes a nighttime venue.
Pumpkin objects and about 550,000 illumination lights
The venue features giant pumpkin and ghost objects and art pieces. Combining about 550,000 illumination lights with colored lighting on the trees, it creates a space that makes the most of the shape of the forest.
This event is the first chapter of "Story of Light and Forest," a three-chapter series covering Halloween, autumn leaves and Christmas. You can stroll through the park at night, walking in costume and enjoying the decorative lights and the sound of autumn insects.
Light and sound at the castle, flower beds and maple garden
At "Mori Castle," set up in the fountain of the Central Gate plaza, the forest fairy Mori appears in "Dark Feast and Sword of Light." The show of about 10 minutes uses lights, smoke and lasers. It starts at 17:00, and the final show begins at 20:15.

"Botanical Rhythm Session" at the botanical garden flower beds is a performance of about 4 minutes held from 17:00 to 20:00 at 00, 15, 30 and 45 minutes past each hour. The final show is at 20:00.
At the maple garden, "Maple Rhythm Session" of about 3 minutes starts at 17:10. It is held at 10, 25, 40 and 55 minutes past each hour, with the final show at 20:10. Moving from place to place, you can see combinations of plants, light and music.
