On October 9, Sanyo Shokai Ltd. announced that it has renovated the standard model of the 100 Year Coat from "SANYOCOAT" and begun sales. Part of the 2026 autumn/winter lineup, it is the first full-scale revision since the coat's launch in 2013.
Pattern, sleeve area and liner reviewed
This model incorporates the pattern-making technology cultivated in the "100 Year Coat KIWAMI." According to the company, it is designed so that the coat's weight is not carried by the shoulders alone but is also distributed across the torso.
The sleeve area and overall balance were also adjusted, changing the silhouette to combine a vertical line with moderate ease. The back lining of the liner uses the Sanyo check, the brand's iconic pattern.
The outer fabric is a high-density cotton gabardine with a durable water-repellent finish. Sewing is handled by the company's own coat-only factory, "Sanyo Sewing Aomori Factory," where artisans' handwork is incorporated in steps such as attaching the collar and buttons.

Women's: a balmacaan and trench coats in three lengths
The women's line has four styles. The balmacaan coat is ¥143,000 (tax included) and the mid-length trench coat is ¥148,500 (tax included); both come in two colors, navy and beige, in four sizes: 34, 36, 38 and 40.
The short trench coat is ¥126,500 (tax included). It comes in three colors, navy and beige plus red, in sizes 34, 36 and 38. The long trench coat is ¥154,000 (tax included), in two colors, navy and beige, and four sizes: 36, 38, 40 and 42.
