Making a fukudaruma from an Ouchi doll blank
At Ekikita Plaza, visitors can try painting wooden Ouchi doll blanks, a traditional craft of Yamaguchi Prefecture. They paint colors and patterns to make their own "fukudaruma."
Participation is free for ages 5 and up. Materials are limited to 110 pieces, and registration will close when they run out. The venue will have tatami mats, low tables and bean bag sofas, and plans include a space for enjoying books and board games.
Makeup and nail experiences at nearby venues
At "Ekikita Gakuensai 2026" in Ekikitare, there will be makeup, nail and other experiences and workshops, along with sales of original products. Stage performances by schools and kindergartens are also planned.
Inside Minamore, the "Minamore Cultural Festival" will be held. Workshops are by reservation priority, and dates and times may differ by booth. Please check the location, time and how to take part for each experience you want to try before you visit.
