On October 10, Kobe Resort Service Co., Ltd. announced the "Kobe Christmas Market 2026 -Christmas in the Old Castle-." It runs from November 7 to December 28. At the Observation Plaza of Kobe Nunobiki Herb Garden, a market selling Christmas goods and crafts will open.
Wooden figures and tin ornaments on sale
The market sells German wooden and tin ornaments and Advent calendars. In addition to nutcrackers, smoking figures and cuckoo clocks, it also offers Christmas pyramids, the arched candle holder known as the "Schwibbogen," and wooden toys.

The lineup ranges from crafts to display indoors to small decorations for trees and the like. Aroma candles from the herb garden's original brand will also be offered. The photos show images of the market and the goods sold there.

Plant-based decorations and night hours on set days
The venue's decorations follow a "botanical" theme. In the Observation Plaza, a Christmas tower about 7 m tall, made with Norway spruce, nuts and berries, and pruned branches from the garden, will be lit at 16:00. A welcome wreath about 3 m in diameter, made of hinoki cypress and red ribbons, will also be installed.
The market is open from 10:30 to 16:30, and on night-opening days it stays open until 20:00. Until December 6, night hours are held on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, and from December 11 to 28 the market is open late every day.
The market and the ropeway have different operating hours. For admission and ropeway fares and the day's operating information, please check the facility's official website.
