Chelman Co., Ltd., a group company of KOMEHYO HOLDINGS CO., LTD., will hold a special sales event, "Mechanical Watches Embodying Beauty and the Cosmos," on Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11, 2026, in the Premium Room on the 9th floor of Hanshin Umeda Main Store. Four brands will exhibit: CVDK, Louis Moinet, Armin Strom and Wempe.
Introducing astronomy and mechanical watches, with a CVDK prototype on show
The sales event is timed to coincide with World Watch Day on October 10. Special booths introducing each brand will display and sell flagship models, and CVDK's latest prototype, "Venus," will be shown in a special presentation. The "Venus Annual Calendar" is a made-to-order model.
Hanshin Umeda Main Store will also hold a panel exhibition tracing the history of mechanical watches from its beginnings in astronomy. Pim Koeslag, CEO and watchmaker of CVDK (Christiaan van der Klaauw), will visit Japan to host a program introducing the brand's world of astronomy and watchmaking.

The "CVDK GRAND PLANETARIUM/ECCENTRIC Manufacture" is an automatic model with an in-house movement. Its case is 44mm in 18K red gold, with 5 ATM water resistance. The price is ¥39,600,000 (tax included). The dial features a design with celestial bodies.
The "LOUIS MOINET/1816" is a hand-wound model with a 40.6mm titanium case. It has an in-house movement and 3 ATM water resistance. The price is ¥6,930,000 (tax included), and it pairs a silver dial with blue hands.
Models exhibited by Armin Strom and Wempe
The "ARMIN STROM GRAVITY EQUAL FORCE INDIGO" has an automatic in-house movement and a 41mm stainless steel case. It is water resistant to 3 ATM and priced at ¥5,445,000 (tax included). The inner mechanism can be seen beside the blue dial.
The "WEMPE Chronometerwerke Automatic Moonphase" is also an automatic model with an in-house movement. It has a 41mm stainless steel case with 3 ATM water resistance and is priced at ¥1,188,000 (tax included). A display of the moon and stars sits at the 6 o'clock position of the white dial.
